Product Specifications

1/16 Inch Diameter Sleeving

1/16 Inch (1.5875mm) diameter braided sleeving expands to 3/32". It can be used to protect or identify small wires, thin hoses, or delicate cables in automobile, electronic, and mechanical applications. If you need to differentiate headphone wires, protect internal circuits from abrasion, or provide a better look to steel rope in the work place or at home, use a length of this 1/16" PET braided sleeving.

Black PET Sleeving

PET braided sleeving is available in a wide range of colors, more so then other lines of Techflex sleeving, to help with color coding identification as well as brand or team marketing. The simple black color is great for applications where you need your wires, tubes, or cable bundles to blend in or look uniform. For giving a standard look, blending into black walls or machines, or for simply giving a professional and smooth finish without distracting from other areas, use this Black color PET braided sleeving.

Optional : Rounding

Rounding the spooled sleeving opens it up and “sets” it so that it remains open along the entire length. The sleeving retains all of its original properties, and installation is even easier for long runs of wire or cable.

NOTICE: Longer lengths of product may lose some of its shape when applied to or shipped on a spool. Adding the rounded option may increase the processing time of your order by up to 48 hours.

Optional : Splice Free Spooling

Some splices are normal during the braiding process. Usually, not more than one or two splices will be on any given spool. Ordering splice-free spools guarantees the maximum continuous yield on your spools. This option is suggested when ordering large lengths of sleeving or for important and precise projects.

Product How-To's

Cutting with a Hot Knife

To ensure a frayless, professional end on any installation, it is recommended that expandable braided sleeving be cut with a hot knife, rope cutter, or similar tool. We offer a wide variety of Hot Knives for different applications, including handheld knives, table knives, and replacement blades. Terminating with Heatshrink Tubing

Heatshrink Tubing is the ideal way to create a tight, professional finish on any wire, hose or cable management project. Once shrunk, the tubing will hold its reduced state, even at elevated temperatures. This application can be used to protect, color code, brand, or secure ends or sections of braided sleeving. Installing with the Rapid Installer Tool

The Rapid Sleeving Install Tool eliminates the mind-numbing process of applying expandable sleeving to a cable bundle. With the Flexo Sleeving Rapid Install Tool, the process is dramatically speeded up, considerably reducing labor costs. The system is simple to set up and interchangeable components accommodate diameters up to 2". Simply slide the desired length of sleeving over the properly sized pipe, and insert the desired wires or cables. The machine will quickly unravel the sleeving over the application and give it a smooth finish.

Organizing with Spools and Displays

Spool and product management is now more efficient than ever. Our new display/dispenser rack allows easy control of sleeving and provides a controlled system of dispensing directly from the spools. The spools drop into the slots and turn freely for dispensing. Full visibility ensures easy management of remaining inventory and simple drop-in replacement of empty spools. The spools themselves can be used with or without the display racks, allowing for customized storage and easy use of long lengths of braided sleeving.
