Pressmaster is deeply rooted in the heartland of Sweden – a country with a strong tradition of manufacturing some of the world’s best hand tools. The people of the region of Älvdalen have a long history of adapting to their environment by creating clever solutions. Pressmaster develops precision hand tools for markets where performance and reliability are vital. They work with tight tolerances and the highest quality all the way from CAD design through to manufacturing and assembly. The manufacturing process is regularly controlled by optical measuring equipment and supervised by highly skilled personnel. Pressmaster tools have extremely long life spans.

Please Note: Your credit card will be charged the full cost of the tool immediately. You can keep the tool as long as you like and be charged the weekly rental fee. When you return the Tool, your credit card will be credited the difference.

Professional Crimping Tools

The process of crimping involves a connector and a wire being deformed in a way that makes them hold together. While there are many options for crimping available, the Pressmaster family of crimp tools provides a tight and solid crimp that allows cables and connectors to be held together while not damaging the functionality of either. In addition, they require much less time, manual strength, and expertise than other competing crimp tools in order to operate. The precision dies and crimp profiles allow you to consistently obtain the same crimps repetitively, without a loss in quality or risk of damage to cables.

How To Crimp

The process of crimping a cable and appropriate connector together is easy and quick when using Pressmaster Crimp tools. First, insert the desired cable into an appropriate connector. Next, insert both into the crimp tool. Grasp the open handles of the crimp tool firmly and press down completely. There is no need to worry about over crimping as long as you are using the correct crimp tool. Lastly, once the tool's handles are closed completely, the latch on the crimp tool will release, automatically opening the handles and the crimp end. If the crimp tool ever seems to be stuck, make sure you are pressing together and closing the tool completely. This ensures a consistent and correct crimp every time.

How To Adjust the Crimp

You may need to eventually adjust the variances of the crimp tool, either because the tool has exceeded it's normal life span and is beginning to lose precision, or in case the tool is damaged. This should not happen too often, as Pressmaster tools are designed to work for over 50,000 crimp cycles and built to withstand abrasion and impacts. To do this, open the handles of the crimp tool and unscrew the screw and cover plate of the circular adjustment in the center of the bottom handle. Once the plastic cover and screw are removed, you may use a screw driver to pop the adjustment wheel up, and then turn it counter clockwise to tighten. When you have finished adjusting, push the adjustment wheel back down and screw the cover plate and screw back into place.

Copper Wire Connectors

Copper tube and copper sheet connectors are used in various electronic and mechanical wiring systems. In industrial, automotive, and commercial applications basic copper connectors are used to transfer power and electrical signals in systems and harnesses. These terminals, splices, and lugs come in a large variety of types, sizes, and qualities. The biggest two categories are insulated and non-insulated, both providing different purposes for varied applications.

Compatible Wire Types

The KKB-0325S (4300-3684) provides a Hex crimp with dimensions of 22-14 AWG (0.35-2.5mm). These crimp sizes and styles are designed to crimp your various uninsulated and insulated connectors properly to a wide range of various copper wires, used in many different electrical and mechanical relays and harnesses. The Hex style crimp provides the most complete and recommended crimp for these type of wire and connector combinations, keeping the threads neat and providing full connection.

K-Frame Ergonomic Design

The K-Frame of this tool was specially engineered by Pressmaster to give an ergonomic design. It is currently the world's most advanced crimping tool, giving the user 65% better mechanical gain than any other crimp tool available. Being an ambidextrous tool, it can be customized for both right and left hand users. A unique mechanism in the tool significantly reduces the hand force needed to complete crimps, which saves the user from hand fatigue. In addition, non-slip pads hold the tool in place when leveraging on a work surface. The full cycle crimp mechanism and ratchet release mechanism ensure consistent and reliable crimps every time. The tool also has a precision eccentric adjustment for calibration to ensure consistent performance.
