Pressmaster Crimpers

Pressmaster is deeply rooted in the heartland of Sweden – a country with a strong tradition of manufacturing some of the world’s best hand tools. The people of the region of Älvdalen have a long history of adapting to their environment by creating clever solutions. Pressmaster develops precision hand tools for markets where performance and reliability are vital. They work with tight tolerances and the highest quality all the way from CAD design through to manufacturing and assembly. The manufacturing process is regularly controlled by optical measuring equipment and supervised by highly skilled personnel. Pressmaster tools have extremely long life spans.

Professional Crimping Tools

The process of crimping involves a connector and a wire being deformed in a way that makes them hold together. While there are many options for crimping available, the Pressmaster family of crimp tools provides a tight and solid crimp that allows cables and connectors to be held together while not damaging the functionality of either. In addition, they require much less time, manual strength, and expertise than other competing crimp tools in order to operate. The precision dies and crimp profiles allow you to consistently obtain the same crimps repetitively, without a loss in quality or risk of damage to cables.

How To Crimp

The process of crimping a cable and appropriate connector together is easy and quick when using Pressmaster Crimp tools. First, insert the appropriate modular connector into the die notch and close the handle half way. Next, insert the wired in the correct order into the connector, making sure it is inserted as completely as possible. When ready, close the handles of the precision tool fully and release.

How To Change Dies

Changing dies with the P-Frame is easy. Loosen the wheel on the front of the tool until the previous die becomes loose. Next, remove the old die and insert the new die, making sure the screws fall correctly in the P-Frame. Last, tighten the front wheel completely.

Modular Plug Connectors

Modular plugs, also called modular jacks, RJ connectors, and western jacks, are wire connectors that contain a row of inset pins, each that lead to a different wire in the crimped cable. The different types of modular plug connectors varies depending on the number of pins and position of pins required. These plugs are used in telephone lines, computer network cables, ethernet jacks, modular handsets, and various digital data ports. For crimping, the order of the wires is important and changes depending on the desired application. Once the color coded wires are on the correct pins, the entire assembly is inserted into the crimper and closed to create a tight construction.

Quick Interchangeable Dies

The interchangeable dies available for the Precision P-Frame are available in all widely used modular frame configurations. It uses the increased strength from the hardened alloy construction to make a tight and consistent crimp on the many pins and wires in the modular connector.

Precision Modular Tool Frame

The Precision P-Frame was recently developed by Pressmaster to be the most accurate and easy to use wire crimper on the market. The parallel-action of the crimp die allows for a uniquely accurate crimp, removing the possibility of uneven or sideways crimp angles. In addition, the pistol grip of the handles provides a more user friendly angle, allowing anyone to crimp difficult connectors or odd angles without causing wrist or hand strain after repeated use.
