Deutsch Jiffy Splice Connector Kit

Most splice installations require an assortment of tools to properly perform. Once finished, they can also be very difficult to remove or change. Wires can get frayed, damaged, or even ruined from these slow and sloppy installations. With the Deutsch Jiffy Splice these problems are no more. Simply crimp one wire into a Jiffy Splice pin and the other into a Jiffy Splice socket, and slide both into a connector until you hear them snap. Its that easy and quick! In addition, the wires underneath are not damaged in this process, and if you ever need to remove one or both of the wires, simply insert a Jiffy Splice extraction tool and pull the desired wire out of the splice connector. This makes future repairs and installations even easier than the first time!

Jiffy Splice Installation Instructions

1. Grasp contact approximately one inch behind the contact crimp barrel.
2. Hold the Jiffy Splice between your thumb and forefinger approximately one half inch behind cavity.
3. Push the contact straight into the Jiffy Splice until a positive stop is felt. An audible “Snap” will occur when correctly mated. A light tug will confirm it is properly sealed.

Jiffy Splice Removal Instructions

1. Snap appropriate size removal tool over the wire.
2. Hold the Jiffy Splice between your thumb and forefinger approximately one half inch behind cavity. Slide the tool into cavity until resistance is felt and retaining fingers are engaged. Do not twist or insert the tool at an angle.
3. Grip the Jiffy Splice between your thumb and forefinger and slowly pull contact wire assembly with removal tool out of the cavity.

The Jiffy Splice connector uses the Deutsch Common Contact system and positive locking engineering to provide an easy, weatherproof and accessible inline splice protected by a silicone elastomer sleeve. Jiffy Splice connectors are strong and reliable, yet allow for repeated disconnection whenever necessary. With a specially engineered locking system, the pin and socket inserted into the connector sleeve are secure and safe, as they cannot come out or be exposed to any air or liquids until they are removed with an extractor tool.

DT Series: The DT Series is a rectangular connector system designed for use in harsh environments. It features a compact design, with contacts rated for up to 13 amps, and is available in 2 to 12 cavity arrangements.

DTM Series: The DTM Series is similar to the DT Series but is smaller and more lightweight. It features a high-density design and is available in 2 to 12 cavity arrangements, with contacts rated for up to 7.5 amps.

DTP Series: The DTP Series is a heavy-duty rectangular connector system designed for use in high-current applications. It features contacts rated for up to 25 amps and is available in 2 to 12 cavity arrangements.

DTHD Series: The DTHD Series is a rectangular connector system designed for use in heavy-duty applications. It features a rugged design, with contacts rated for up to 60 amps, and is available in 4 to 60 cavity arrangements.

HD10 Series: The HD10 Series is a circular connector system designed for use in harsh environments. It features a rugged design and is available in 2 to 12 cavity arrangements, with contacts rated for up to 13 amps.

HDP20 Series: The HDP20 Series is a heavy-duty circular connector system designed for use in industrial applications. It features a rugged design, with contacts rated for up to 25 amps, and is available in 2 to 47 cavity arrangements.Housing is constructed of thermoplastic.

HD30 Series: The HD30 Series is similar to the HD10 Series but is larger and more heavy-duty. It features contacts rated for up to 50 amps and is available in 2 to 104 cavity arrangements. Housing is constructed of Aluminum.

AEC Series: The AEC Series is a circular connector system designed for use in aerospace and defense applications. It features a lightweight design, with contacts rated for up to 23 amps, and is available in 2 to 61 cavity arrangements.

DRB Series: The DRB Series is a rectangular connector system designed for use in rugged industrial applications. It features a modular design, with contacts rated for up to 13 amps, and is available in 6 to 40 cavity arrangements.
