Pressmaster Embla 16 Self-Adjusting Cutting & Wire Stripping Tool

The Embla is a self-adjusting stripping and cutting tool for a wide variety of insulated wires and cables. This includes PVC and PTFE insulations, power wire, equipment wire, and communications cables. It is sold including a stripping and cutting cassette with a specific AWG range, and other sized cassettes and replacements cassettes may be purchased separately. The wide size range and quick auto adjustment of the Embla makes it extremely versatile and easy to use. The included thickness adjuster and wire cutter help improve the versatility of this tool, decreasing the amount of tools needed to be used for a single application. Tested to have a lifespan of over 150,000 cycles, the Embla will also decrease the amount of replacement blades and tools needed over time.

Pressmaster Strip Tools

The process of wire stripping involves the insulation casing on a wire or cable being cut and removed to expose the conductive wires underneath. While there are many options for stripping available, the Pressmaster family of strip tools provides a precise and quick strip that allows cables and wires to be readied for crimping or other applications. In addition, they require much less time, manual strength, and expertise than other competing strip tools in order to operate. The precision cassettes and strip cuts allow you to consistently obtain the same strips repetitively, without a loss in quality or risk of damage to cables.

How To Strip Wire With The Pressmaster Embla

To strip with the Embla tool, first adjust the tab on the blade cassette to match the length of the strip desired. Next slide the wire or cable into the tool from the front of the jaw. Next, completely close the handles of the strip tool and release. If the tool has made a wire strip that seems to be too thick or too thin, not removing all of the insulation or also removing some of the wire, then follow the instructions for adjusting the strip below. If the wire needs to be cut for any reason, you may simply place it into the blade notch below the strip jaw and pull the handle, as if stripping, and the blade will cut the desired wire.
