Instructions For Using The F6® Install Tool

Step 1: Rotate the barrel to line up the slot and insert your wire bundle.

Step 2: Rotate the barrel to hide the slot and prevent the bundle from slipping out of the tool.

Step 3: Insert the bulge of the tool into your tubing. Make sure that the end of the bundle is properly seated in the tubing.

Step 4: Gently slide the tool along the length of the tubing, inserting the wire bundle as you move down the sleeving.

Step 5: Gently slide the tool along the length of the tubing, inserting the wire bundle as you move down the sleeving.

What Size F6® Install Tool Do I Need?

The F6® Install tool is available in multiple sizes from ¼” to 1 ½”. Determining which size tool you need is relatively simple. Measure the diameter of the wire bundle you wish to sleeve. Once you have determined this measurement choose the F6® Installation tool that is closest in size, but larger than, the bundle. Example: A wire bundle with a 0.40” diameter would require a 0.50” F6 Tool.

What Products Can I Use The F6® Tool With?

The F6® Installation Tool was specifically engineered to work in tandem with the Techflex® F6® family of braided sleeving products. (Including: Flexo F6®, Flexo F6® FR, F6® Woven Wrap, F6® Woven Wrap FR, F6® Heavy Duty, F6X, and F6® Quiet) Although this tool was designed with F6® products in mind, it may also work well with other brands of braided sleeving and plastic split conduits.
