Harnessflex

AMP Series Connector Interfaces

Harnessflex offers complete system solutions for the routing and protection of electrical wiring against damage by mechanical abrasion, liquid ingress and corrosion salts. Using a Harnessflex conduit system ensures that vulnerable connectors are not exposed to the elements, impact of foreign bodies or jet washing, all of which can cause vehicle malfunction and failure.

Harnessflex® Connector Interfaces (or backshells as they’re commonly known) offer a compact and high integrity connection between automotive connectors and all types of conduit systems. These interfaces provide complete cable protection right up to the connector. They also provide strain relief and protection from high pressure washing, helping to maintain the sealing integrity of the connector.

FITTING ANGLES: 90° or Straight

CONDUIT DIAMETERS: 8, 10, 12, or 16

CAVITIES: 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or 12

Types of Interfaces

Single Junction 90° Elbow Interfaces: Provide high integrity connections between AMP Superseal or Junior timer connectors and Harnessflex conduit systems. These fittings are designed to snap together over all types of slit and unslit conduit, maintaining maximum conduit bore. In addition, 90° elbow versions allow the conduit to swivel 360° around the connector housing.

Straight Interfaces: Offer a compact and high integrity connection between Ampseal 16 automotive connectors and Harnessflex conduit systems. These interfaces provide complete cable protection right up to the connector. They also provide strain relief and protection from high pressure washing, helping to maintain the sealing integrity of the connector.
